Industrial Thermometers

Since 1901, SIKA, Dr. Siebert & Kühn, has manufactured precision measuring and monitoring instruments. The original “SIKA” thermometer was developed by graduate engineer Hans Siebert. In 1939, Dr. Siebert & Kühn was granted Patent No. 767466 for the thermometer’s basic design. Since then, we have manufactured our thermometers exclusively in Kaufungen near Kassel – quality “Made in Germany.” Ever since their invention, SIKA thermometers have been synonymous with robustness, reliability and accuracy. They incorporate extensive technical expertise, attention to detail and experience gained from thousands of applications. This is why they have become indispensable in marine engineering, mechanical and plant engineering, as well as heating, ventilation and air-conditioning technology. More than 15 million reliable temperature monitoring instruments have already been produced in Kaufungen. The advantages of a glass thermometer over other types of thermometer, such as dial or digital thermometers, are clear: no mechanically moving parts, no material fatigue, no electrical power supply and lifelong measurement accuracy. In other words, as long as a glass thermometer is not mechanically damaged, it will remain accurate throughout its entire service life.

Premium Industrial Thermometers – Versions for Industrial, Marine and District Heating Applications
The original SIKA thermometer features a high-quality V-shaped aluminium casing, smoothly polished on all sides and anodised in a gold finish. The numerical markings of the display range are printed in black on the right-hand side of the scale beneath the anodised layer. This permanently and securely seals the print within the anodised coating. As standard, our thermometer is available in three nominal sizes, each in a straight or 90° angled version, and with numerous display ranges from −30…50 °C to 0…250 °C. Thermowells are available in brass, steel, stainless steel, special brass or a copper-nickel alloy, together with a wide variety of connection types and threads. Our standard range of industrial thermometers comprises more than 17,000 different variants. In addition, we manufacture numerous customised versions that are used worldwide. We will be pleased to produce the exact version required for your series application. Contact us!

Solid Industrial Thermometers – Versions for Industrial, Marine and HVAC Applications
We have modified our industrial thermometer to meet the requirements of price-sensitive applications. This allows us to combine an exceptionally reliable and robust measuring instrument with an unbeatable price-performance ratio. Our standard versions are available from stock.

Customised Industrial Thermometers
We manufacture the mechanical components and glass inserts of our standard models in large quantities using automated production processes. For special models, such as thermometers with exceptionally high graduations, our glassblowers continue to manufacture the glass inserts by hand using traditional craftsmanship. Thanks to our many years of experience, we are able to fulfil our customers’ individual requirements. Contact us!
